We love Dogs, and we love Colorado. So when we heard news like this, we were paw-ticularly excited...
According to abcnews.com, a Colorada based Humane Shelter Pikes Peak Region was able to find homes for every dog in the shelter this holiday season.
Every dog!
In an effort to give back for the holidays, and incite people to give a home to a four legged friend, the shelter waived all of the associated adoption fees.
Gretchen Pressley, a manager at the shelter, told ABC News that it was the first time ever that they had their kennels completely empty. Staffers at the shelter immediately posted a video of themselves celebrating around the empty cages. The video went viral and had 150k views in a relatively short period of time.
How pawesome is that??!!!
We at SportLeash want to give a special shoutout to Pikes Peak Region Humane Society for their amazing effort, and to our friend Alex O. who adopted her pup from this same shelter a few months ago!
Nice job, team! We salute you with our hands and our paws...
