A pretty interesting dog-news story is circulating the internet this week, where a man was arrested for rescuing his dog from a burning building.
Jarrod Martin of Memphis, Tennessee was watching from across the street as a fire ravaged his apartment building. Upon hearing cries of his dog inside the inflamed building, and despite warnings from the police to not go near, Martin took matters into his own hands, climbing the balcony up to his second floor apartment and rescuing his pup to safety.
That's what I'm talking about!!!
Unfortunately for Martin, police officers arrested the brave and loving dog owner upon exiting the burning building. Their reasoning being that if he got injured in the rescue attempt, it would've caused further inconvenience and rescue efforts for authorities.
Ultimately, Martin was released and cited for disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment.
Maybe the judge will show him some mercy and drop those charges - regardless, as dog owners ourselves, we totally understand why he did it!
