After an 11-month battle with acute myeloid leukemia, Craig Sager, the 34-year, and extremely stylish, NBA veteran reporter will return to the hardwood tonight in Chicago, as the Bulls take on the Thunder.
And that makes for a beautiful day in life and sport.
Sager wasn't just an amazing sideline reporter with sick style ... he was a Super Athlete too. He always kept in shape, and is known for running 5 miles a day multiple times per week. He is currently in recovery from cancer, and we couldn't be more proud to honor him as The Super Athlete of the Week.
Bulls coach Tom Thibadeau put it well...
"It's one of the great stories in the league."
And Bleacher Reports Lars Anderson documented Sager's story quite nicely here ...
But on behalf of Team SportLeash, all our best to the Sager family. We're happy to see the man back in action!
And we're looking forward to seeing what suit he's picked out...
