You don't have to be a dog owner to know that these days, you can't go ticking off PETA!
Internet hosting bohemuth GoDaddy.com was just forced to pull their upcoming Super Bowl commercial after it sparked a more than fair amount of outrage from animal rights activists and dog lovers.
The commercial, which is a parody on the cute puppy Budweiser spot from a few years back, was clearly intended to be funny - but it certainly wasn't funny to PETA - along with many other groups - who came down hard on the company for it's insensitivty toward puppy mills, private breeding, and selling dogs on the internet.
As a result, GoDaddy yanked the spot. Which is probably the right way to handle it, even though I'm sure GoDaddy was just trying to make people laugh and didn't intend to offend anyone.
But we want to hear from you! What do you think of the commercial? Should it have been yanked or kept in the SuperBowl repertoire?? Check out the commercial for yourself and feel free to leave your comments below!
