Dog lovers dial in your DVRs!  Because thanks to the great people at CW, there's an award show you won't want to miss. 

The World Dog Awards are set to premier tomorrow night, Thursday, January 15th at 8pm/7pm central on the CW network.  The event/show actually happened and was filmed this past week (Jan. 10) in Santa Monica at Barker Hanger ("Barker" being a very appropriate name for the location) and from what we're reading, it was star-studded and packed with peeps and pups.

Hosted by comedian George Lopez with appearances by Paris Hilton, Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed, Lance Bass, and many more, alongside a bunch of awesome canines, the inaugural show celebrates dogs for their work in the military, health services and entertainment; as well as dogs who became famous on the internet.  It's about time, right?!!  

Categories include "best actor in a supporting role to a dog", "outstanding achievement in the field," (recognizing dogs who have risked their lives for humans or shown outstanding kindness to another animal), “Most Pawpular” (awarded to the dog with the most influential social media presence) and “Hot Dog” (awarded to the most talented extreme sports dog).  Kind of sounds like a SportLeash Super Athlete...

So tune in to the "Pawscars" tomorrow night!  Or make sure you record it, because if you love dogs, you're in for a great show!
