The Top 10 Most Energetic Dogs

Kids have tons of energy.  So do puppies...and like humans, when they get older, naturally they slow down a bit.  Certain breeds have dispositions and personalities that are prone to exhibit a lot more energy and require a lot more exercise than others.

It's important when choosing a dog to understand these predisposed traits and try to align those with your [family's] personality and lifestyle...for example, if you love coach-potatoing, I would probably suggest a lap dog over any of the dogs below.  Likewise, if you're a marathon runner I wouldn't go with a cuddly little Pomeranian.

All dogs need exercise or there's a good chance they will get unruly and start exhibiting negative behavior.  This doesn't mean your dog needs to get a 5 mile run in every day, but the minimal walks are essential to a dogs physical and mental health.  Remember, when your dog doesn't get his exercise, your dog becomes an unhappy dog...no one wants an unhappy dog!

Below are the list of the top 10 high energy dogs.

10. Dalmatian

9. Miniature Pinscher

8. Airedale Terrier

7. Parson Russell Terrier

6. English Springer Spaniel

5. Australian Sheperd

4. Border Collie

3. Pointer

2. Weimaraner

1. Siberian Husky
